Simon Connect equipment

Socket outlets

Electrical socket outlets are basic equipment for every Simon Connect system installation.

Thanks to their many advantages, the sockets are very popular among installers. The sockets are available in versions with grounding (French standard) and with Schuko grounding.

SIMON CONNECT sockets are available in 3 standards, useddepending on the type of basic solutions.

  • K45 standard (45x45mm)
  • SIMON 500 standard (100x50mm)
  • CIMA standard (108x52mm)

SIMON 500 and CIMA sockets can be replaced with K45 sockets by using dedicated SIMON 500 or CIMA adapters.

Simon K45

Electrical sockets in the K45 standard with dimensions of 45x45mm are the most popular sockets used in office installations. Sockets can be used in any applications, e.g. in floor boxes, furniture solutions, columns, installation channels and others.

Simon Connect K45 sockets have many advantages that distinguish them from competitive solutions.

The K45 standard includes standard sockets, sockets with an authorization key (DATA) and sockets with voltage indication.

K45 sockets are available in the following colours:

  • white,
  • graphite,
  • aluminum,
  • red,
  • green,
  • orange.
Quick connectors in the K45 standard
DATA sockets
Sockets with the DATA authorization key are available with voltage indication (screw terminals), without indication (quick connectors). The authorization key is supplied together with the socket, which allows you to avoid additional costs associated with separate ordering of keys.
Connecting sockets
Quick-connect sockets can be combined into multiple sets using a dedicated AC11 connector. Combined sockets are an ideal solution that allows you to reduce the number of ordered references and allows you to adapt multiple sockets to the requirements of the installation.
Slanted socket outlets
K45 electrical sockets have current paths placed at a 45-degree angle.
This solution facilitates the use of angled plugs, which can be easily passed each other when using a larger number of sockets.
Current circuit shutters
All K45 sockets have current path shutters that protect the sockets against contamination and accidental electric shock.
Simon 500

SIMON 500 double sockets with dimensions of 100x50mm, are standard sockets, the construction of which has been designed to reduce assembly time to a minimum. An additional advantage of the sockets is their perfect integration with base products.

SIMON 500 sockets are available in white, graphite and red versions with DATA authorization keys.

SCHUKO grounded sockets also have a voltage indicator.

SIMON 500 sockets can be used in products such as:

  • mini columns and ALC columns after using SIMON 500 supports.
  • SIMON 500 flush-mounted and surface-mounted housings,
  • SIMON 500 metal housings,
  • ST mini towers,

DATA sockets

The SIMON 500 includes red sockets with DATA authorisation keys.

The authorization keys are supplied together with the socket, which allows you to avoid additional costs associated with ordering keys separately.

Socket terminals

SIMON 500 sockets are available in two versions, differing in the type of terminals. Versions are available with:

  • IDC knife terminals and quick connectors,
  • screw terminals and quick connectors.

IDC blade terminals

Innovative IDC knife terminals are a solution that allows you to reduce the time of socket assembly to a minimum. The terminals allow you to connect individual wires without removing the insulation.

Connecting the power supply involves inserting individual wires with insulation into the holders and snapping the holders into the socket. Specially designed blades cut the wire insulation, ensuring proper contact.

Connecting sockets

SIMON 500 sockets can be connected into multiple sets using a dedicated SIMON 500 connector. The connector is installed in the quick connectors located in each socket.

Assembly of kits

The SIMON 500 socket sets can be installed outside the installation site, e.g. during wet work on the facility. The actual installation of the sockets, e.g. in the SIMON 500 housing using sockets with IDC knife terminals, only involves connecting the insulated wires to the IDC terminals and snapping the sets into the housing. The installation takes very little time and can be carried out without the use of tools.

Simon CIMA

CIMA sockets can be used in products such as:

  • CIMA PRO flush-mounted and surface-mounted housings,
  • SF floor boxes,
  • mini-columns and ALC columns after using CIMA supports and SAL100 socket boxes.

CIMA sockets are available in white, graphite, alumnum, red and several two-color versions combining the basic colors.

The CIMA standard does not include sockets with DATA authorization keys.

Voltage indicators

CIMA sockets have a voltage indicator that indicates whether power is currently connected to the socket.

Box for ALC columns

To mount CIMA sockets in mini-columns and ALC columns, in addition to the appropriate CIMA support, the SAL100 mounting box should be used

Switches and push buttons K45

Switches and push buttons in the K45 standard enable the creation of lighting control sets in SIMON CONNECT series products.

The switches can be used to switch on fluorescent lighting with a maximum load of 16 AX.

K45 switches (45x45mm) are available as a universal switch (single-pole – two-way) and as a button. Both versions are available with or without backlight.

To complete the switch, you need to select the appropriate mechanism and a half rocker 22.5x45mm or a full rocker 45x45mm. All rockers are available in white, graphite or aluminum, without an eyelet and with a red or transparent eyelet.

K45 switches and push buttons can be used in e.g. in SIMON 500 housings, 3 m columns, installation ducts or furniture products to switch on lighting directly at the workstation.

The use of switches in SIMON 500 housings allows for the creation of aesthetic panels for controlling a larger number of circuits. In the case of the largest housings, up to 24 switches in the size of 22.5x45mm can be fitted.

There are also 16A two-pole switches available with or without switch-on signalling. This is an ideal solution for disconnecting sockets, for example, in Ofibloks.

The connector mechanisms are supplied with 90 degree adapters. The adapters are used to place the connectors in products where the mounting brackets are located horizontally, e.g. the ALK and TELEBLOK column profile.

Plates for modular equipment

Plates for modular equipment enable the installation of differential circuit breakers, overcurrent circuit breakers, control modules and any equipment mounted on DIN rails (in switchboards).

Plates for modular equipment are available in the following standards: K45 (45x45mm), SIMON 500 (50x100mm) and CIMA (108x52mm). All plates have a hinged cover.

The plates are equipped with a standard DIN rail on which modular equipment with a width of two fields can be placed.
